Reimagining how we study biomolecules
Anand Raghavan
PhD Student
Scientifically:
I am fascinated by soft matter physics, particularly working with and developing optical methods to enhance our ability to understand the behaviour of biological molecules.
Background:
I graduated with an MSci in Chemistry with Molecular Physics from Imperial College London, where I worked on using FLIM with molecular rotors to understand the aggregation mechanisms of alpha synuclein mutants. I also completed a year in industry, where I utilised rheology and non-Newtonian fluid dynamics to design and optimise soft matter systems for renewable energy.
Gastronomically:
NewGround coffee, historic pubs, and South Indian food
